  2. Be curious, not critical: Watch your inner world like you’re watching a movie, without judging whatever pops up. This way, you create room for genuine self-reflection and that inner voice starts to lose its edge over you.
  3. Focus on the journey, not the masterpiece: Don’t sweat the grammar or style. The point is to connect with your real self, not to pen the next bestseller.
  4. Ask open-ended questions: Just jot down whatever comes to mind first. Then, throw in some more open-ended questions. Start with something like, “Hey (your name), how are you?” and let your thoughts wander. Dive into what you’re dealing with, how you feel about it, and what changes you’d like to see in your behavior or mindset to deepen your self-understanding.
  5. Dream a little (or a lot): Recognizing your dreams and goals is crucial. Giving them some airtime helps you craft a new inner reality that’s more in tune with your aspirations.
